Fundamental Duties
The Fundamental Duties are defined as the moral obligations of all citizens to help promote a spirit
of patriotism These duties comes under the Part IV–A of the Constitution, which concern these fundamental duties.
The Following are the Duties in Our Constitution:
1) To abide by the constitution and respect
its ideals and institutions, the National Flag and the National Anthem.It is
the duty of every citizen to respect the ideals, which include liberty,
justice, equality, executive, the legislature and the judiciary institutions.
2) To follow the noble ideals
which inspired our national struggle for
freedom.These ideals were those of building
a just society and a united nation with freedom, equality, nonviolence,
brotherhood and world peace.
3) To uphold and protect the
sovereignty, unity, and integrity of India- it is one of the preeminent national
obligations of all the citizens of India. India is vast and diverse a nation with different caste, religion, sex, and linguistic people; if freedom
and unity of the country is jeopardized then the united nation is not possible.
4) To defend the country and render national
service when called upon to do so it is the duty of every citizen to defend our
country against external enemies.
5) To promote
harmony and the spirit of common brotherhood among all the people of India
transcending religious, linguistic and regional or sectional diversities; to
renounce practices derogatory to the dignity of women.
